Although we truly love the idea of a half-hour meditation service, we also recognize our responsibility to accommodate ALL Heart and Soul Center of Light congregants as comfortably as we can. We discovered last Wednesday and Sunday that far more people arrived after meditation began than we could reasonably accommodate in a "overflow" fashion. Congregants who were already seated and engaged in meditation found themselves distracted by the growing crowd. Because we always want congregants to experience meditation with as little disruption as possible, we will close the doors to the sanctuary shortly after meditation begins, and then reopen them when meditation ends.
Therefore, we have made a decision to shorten our meditation services to 15 minutes on both Wednesdays and Sundays. With this change, no late arrival will ever have to stand waiting longer than 12 minutes before entering one of our celebration services. In an effort to accommodate more people, we have also added an “Early Bird” Sunday Service.
Effective Wednesday, November 12, 2009 and until further notice, the schedule of services for Heart and Soul Center of Light will be as follows:
Sunday Services
8:30 to 8:45 AM - Early Bird Meditation Service
8:45 to 10:00 AM - Early Bird Celebration Service
10:45 to 11:00 AM - Second Meditation Service
11:00 to 12:45PM - Second Celebration Service
Wednesday Midweek Services
6:15 PM to 6:30 PM - Midweek Meditation Service
6:30 PM to 8:00 PM - Midweek Celebration Service
Heart and Soul Center of Light
services are held at
The Afrikan Children's Advanced Learning Center
959 33rd Street (at San Pablo Avenue)
Oakland, 94608
Thank you for your gracious consideration of us as we continue to live Spirit's divine vision of the unfoldment of our perfect space with ample room for all.
Much Love and Appreciation,
Rev. Andriette

Hello Rev. Andriette! I am wondering where I am to give you feedback on the profound impact "Summer School 101" is having on my life. Is it here? I couldn't find it on the "heartsoulcenter.org" website. Please let me know, as I would love to share.
Thanks,
Janet Tillman
Wow! Great church you have up there in Oakland. Was my first time. I Came to visit on sunday (2/27/2011) and loved the people. Felt like I was back in the old Baptist church in my home town, with all the singing and huggin' and lovin' going on. Everyone was loving, worshiping, and celebrating the all accepting all inclusive love of the divine. Thanks to Rev. Allen for holding up the spirit. Felt like I was with family, (in a good way). LOL
